Here's the recipe for WW Light Strawberry Compote, a tasty, mild, sugar-free compote that's easy to make and perfect for sandwiches, pancakes at breakfast or with cheese or yoghurt.
Ingredients for 4 people: - 1 sp / person -
- 500 g strawberries
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- zest and juice of 1/2 lemon
Preparation:
Wash the strawberries well and cut them into pieces.
In a saucepan put the strawberries, the agave syrup, the juice and lemon peel and cook over high heat for about 5 minutes.
As soon as the strawberries begin to release water, turn down the heat and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For a smoother texture you can mix your compote using a blender or crush the strawberries with a fork.
Then place your fresh strawberry compote in the fridge until ready to serve.
